Task description: Today I completed my writing activity. This week we are learning about earth. Firstly we watched a video explaining stuff and facts about earth. Then we had to write 6 facts and then generate an image on adobe express of earth.

Task description: Today I completed my writing activity. This writing activity was about Venus. First I had to watch a video that stated facts about Venus. After that I wrote 6 facts and then went on adobe express to generate an image of Venus.

Today was the first day of term 2! Me and my class walked to the hall and sat down. We saw the korero on the screen and the korero was beyond the sky. After a few minutes it was finally time to watch all the movies. 

First was the senior management team. The people who were dressed up were Mrs Nua, Mr Burt, Mr Jacobsen and Mr Sommerville. They were dressed up as different planets,scuba divers,nasa suits,astronauts and exploring different places. 

Everyone clapped and then came team 1 ! It was a movie and Ms Shirley, Ms Lal and Ms Hockley were acting ! Team 1 was learning about time zones, weather and hemispheres.

One of the scenes was when Ms Shirley called Ms Hockley while she was in New york. But in New York it was morning and very cold but in New Zealand it was very hot and it was 3 in the morning ! They then searched up why the time zones and weather are different !

Ms Hockley was talking about what they were learning about , Mr Burt thought it was very cool and we all clapped . 

After that was…..team 2 ! Team 2’s movie was about the magic school bus. They were learning about the sun,moon,earth and different planets around the solar system. The people in the movie were Ms Teleso, Ms Squires , Ms Wilson and a reliever. They were learning about how different the planets look and act. One scene in the movie was when the students in the magic school bus were coming close to the sun and learning about the different planets . Then the movie ended. We thought the movie was nice and all clapped.

Next up is Team 3 who were singing a song about the sun , moon and earth !

Mrs Moala , Ms Scanlan and Mrs Walker sang a song. Mrs Moala was dressed as the moon , Mrs Walker was dressed as the earth and Ms Scanlan was dressed up as the sun. I couldn’t remember the song very well but I remember I liked it. They were learning about the sun , moon and the earth. Then the song ended, we all clapped and then it was time for team 4. 

Team 4 were doing a movie about tem exploring in a rocket ship. Ms Tuia , Ms Parrant , Ms Tumahai and Mr Hughes were acting in their movie. One of the scenes were when they explored Saturn and were admiring the shiny ring around the planet. After the movie ended and then it was finally time for team 5 !

Team 5 were dressed up as different planets. They sang the song love but replaced the lyrics with things planet related. Mr Wiseman , Mr Moran , Ms Ilaoa , Ms Tele’a and Ms Tipene and Whaea Saph were all dressed up as planets and singing. Then the song ended and the immersion assembly was finally over !! we all clapped and then went back to class ready to learn.

Task description: Today I completed my reflection task. we had to write about our goals and our reflections in term 1

Task description: Today I had to write some paragraphs about killer zone at year 5 & 6 camp. I had to write some sentences about what we did at killer zone.

Task description: Today I completed my descriptive writing about landmarks about Ngati paoa. This was quite fun to do. Firstly I wrote the things that I saw in the picture and then wrote a few sentences describing it. We had to write about Maungarei,Mauinaina and Mokoia Pa.

Once upon a time Maui and Brothers went for a fishing trip, But the second they got there the sun went right down. They were so annoyed that they had a plan to stop the sun and make the days slower. They grabbed a special net and waited for the sun to rise up from its sleep. They grabbed the net and chucked it around the sun and grabbed it tightly with all their force and might. Maui told the sun to slow it down and the sun said no. Maui and his brothers told him angrily and the sun agreed. And after that the sun would go slow and maui and his brothers were happy.

Ranginui and papatuanuku met. Ranginui waa the god of sky while papatuanuku was the god of the earth. They immediately fell in love with each other and soon had children. They were a happy family until all the children were complaining about how tight they were they were stuck together just like glue. Tawhirimatea was sick of it, one of the siblings thought they should kill them. Tawhirimatea immediately said no and thought of another idea. He would use all his strength and push them apart. He tried many times and failed. He then soon got so angry he used all his force and they seperated. They were both in tears and the children felt so bad but then stayed with his father up in the sky

→One sunny day after school I was sitting at home reading but then suddenly I heard a loud knock on my door.I  answered the door and saw Elena. “ Do you want to go to Mcdonalds with me ?”. My mum gave me 20 dollars and  I got up and said yes and then me and Elena started walking. Out of curiosity I asked her what she was going to order. Elena replied “ I think a triple cheeseburger and big mac COMBO!

“ What a big back, “ I said. I will probably have a Big mac combo. After that we finally arrived at Mcdonalds and Ordered our food. We also got a Mcflurry too. I happily ran to the counter when my number got called out. I ate my burger and chips and it was so delicious! Then me and Elena moved on to our Mcflurry and I ate it as fast as a cheetah. After that we ate all our food and then walked home happily with a full stomach.
