Let the music play

Task description : Today I completed my creative space project . The theme for this term is let the music play so we had to do music related projects . I made a song in garageband about my whole school year . I added my verse 1 and verse 2 , my chorus and a bridge . My song was about year 5&6 camp , Fia Fia and Netball season

This was a bit challenging since I had to find beats that matched my lyrics and that sounded good . I ended up adding around 4 loops in my garageband project . I found this really fun and a bit challenging to do . It took me quite a while to finish but it was worth it because the results turned out great !

I added lots of beats but I had to add some light tunes to make it sound interesting . It took me quite alot of tries to record doing my lyrics but I really enjoyed doing my creative space project .

Thailand Extension Research Project

Task description : This is my completed research task about Thailand . This term we are learning about music and our theme for this term is let the music play . In extesion I completed my task about thailand . For this task I had to research about Thailands traditional music . I recently posted my thailand music that I made on garageband .

 

In this task I explained what kind of country thailand is like famous people from there , what their country is known for and how unique there country is . I also added traditional instrumets from thailand like Ranat Ek , Khlui and some more instruments . On my second slide I added all the loops I used in garageband.

 

Like the instruments and sounds I used . There wasn’t alot of beats , sounds or melodies that sounded like they were from thailand but I managed to find a few .Then lastly I put my completed song on the last slide .

Thailand Music : Extension

Task description : Here is my task that I completed . This is a task in extension , I did this task in garage band . Since the theme for this term is Let the music play we did a music related task . First we did a research task , for the research task we had to find traditional music , the special characteristics , what instruments are in the music video and the genre .

After we completed our research task we had to choose a country and try make music thats sounds similar  from that country on garage band . My country was Thailand and we had to do a lot of research . We had to find the right beats , tunes and instruments used in the  music .

I chose Thailand because I thought it was a very good country  Thailand has unique music but there was no Thailand instruments on garage band so I used Chinese and asian countries instruments to help my beats and melody sound like it was from Thailand .

I enjoyed making beats and tunes on garage band to make music . This took me a few weeks to finish but I think the results turned out great . Please leave a comment !

Music From Around The World

In extension today I completed my task about music . This task was all about music from around the world . We had around 10 slides and a dedicated country . We had to show traditional music from the country , traditional instruments , special characteristics and the name of the genre. I enjoyed this task.

Stop Motion Movie : Bear Movie

Task description : Today I completed my stop motion movie for extension. Everyone in extension had to do a stop motion movie . We choose props and figured out what we were going to do . For our stop motion movie we first chose our prop and for our prop we chose a teddy bear . For our scene we chose to make the teddy bear walk into the library and pick out a book , he also did work on the imac in the classroom . I wen into groups of 3 with carnita and elena . To do this stop motion movie we took photos of the bear doing different things and different movements . I enjoyed making this movie and hope you enjoy watching our movie.

Extension : Movie Making

Task description : In extension for the past few weeks we have been working on our maniakalani film festival movie happening in Term 4.  For the 1st and 2nd week we were planning our movie and what scenes we were going to film . I have been in some of the scenes for this movie that we have been making . We have filmed and edited by ourselves with some help from Mrs burton . Most people have their own jobs and tasks on what to do to help make our movie . In this movie its not just us their are also some animations created by the year 5’s and 6’s.

Story boarding: As I said in the first and second week we have been story boarding and planning out all the scenes we were going to film . For story boarding we went into groups of 3 and 4 , We got a sheet of paper . the words and a scene to draw and work on . We had to storyboard that part of that movie. After we completed it we went into bigger groups and worked on 3 things for the movie . One group did camera gear , another one did costumes and my group did props. Story boarding is like planning you basically board your story . You break up the parts and figure out everything you have to fix , do and plan your movie .

 

Acting: Everyone has had a turn in acting and have been very good at acting . I have been in around 2-3 scenes in the movie . We are making sure no one is getting left out and everyone has a scene they are apart of in the movie. This movie has a lot of fun acting in it and fun animations that everyone have been doing . While acting we had fun costumes to put on people and had face paint to put on people .

 

Movie :  Our movie is about the song wiggle town made by the musical group the wiggles . We have been acting to the song and recreating the scenes . We acted out the words in the song and danced to the lyrics. .

Roles : There were multiple roles like face painters , actors , cameraman/camerawoman , directors , costume people and people that make the props for the movie. We also had animators that made animations on photopea.

Fisher & Paykel

Task description : A few weeks ago a lady named Jennifer came to teach us about laundry machine and different fabrics. On the 1st time she came she introduced herself and said she was a mechanic that worked on laundry machines. She brang in a laundry machine and explained to us all the different parts of it to make it run. She then tested an experiment to see how clean a cloth could get from cold water , hot water and detergent.

 

The 2nd time she came she was discussing different types of favbrics and doing some tests on them . the fabric’s were wool , cotton and polyester . We tested different theories and what happen if we did different things to them . We also touched them to see what it feels like.

Story Vet : Extension

Task description: Today for extension I completed my scratch project. For this task I had to remix a scratch project and then do coding. I had to pretend to be a vet and take all 4 animals temperature , pulse and respiration. I learnt how to code and learnt different things about our pulse , temperature and respiration . I liked pretending to be a vet and taking tests on the animal. The 4 animals were chicken , wolf , cow and horse. Click the numbers and answer them to see !

Pulse Rates Extension

Task description: Today In extension we were learning about pulse rates. We had to try and feel our pulse on our neck and then add them to a spreadsheet. We did resting pulse, exercising pulse and exercising pulse 2. After we did some exercise and did running on the spot and running around the field. We checked all the differences and then added them to a chart. We put everyones pulse on a chart. There were some that had fast pulses and slow pulses.
